STAR Productions is an award winning production company based in Aurora, Ontario, previously known as Marquee Productions. Ms. Thomas' organization has been in existance for 11 years and comes along with over 30 years experience in musical theatre.
Original founder, Sheryl Thomas brings the life skills taught through musical theatre to York Region Schools. Offering big name family musicals or "Character Matters" based productions, she provides a rich, unique, and positive life skill building experience for all the students in grades 1-12.
Ms. Thomas has produced, for the last 10 years the York Region Celebration of the Arts Talent Search and COA Gala and the Canadian Chamber of Commerce AGM Gala events. Most recently she produced the "Growing the Arts" Gala event at Le Parc in Markham for the York Region Arts Council headlining Jim Cuddy.
STAR participates in community "spirit" events, such as Christmas
Parades, Volunteer Recognition events, Street Festivals, and School Fairs. .
STAR strides to provide a safe, educational and fun environment in YOUR school for your students/children. Traditionally brought in through parent council in elementary schools and teachers in high schools for workshops and leadership in musical theatre productinos, Ms. Thomas has a program to offer to every school budget.
