Theatre Etiquette!

BE ON TIME ! Use the backstage entrance, not the main front doors. This door is located on the western most side of the building. This is where the loading bay doors are. Please do not park in this area. This parking area is for technical staff only and may be used only for dropping off cast members even if there is an empty space.

Sign in at the call board just outside the change rooms. Look for your name and check it off when you arrive for EACH show even the dress rehearsal.

No food or drink is allowed in the auditorium or on the stage. Also no gum please.

Do not eat, drink or go out of the backstage area in your costume. You are to change after the show before you go into the lobby to see friends and family. Enter the lobby from backstage, not through the theatre.

The greenroom is off limits unless otherwise informed. It is for the use of crew and equipment storage.

When called, go immediately to the stage area & don't leave unless required.

Never leave the theatre without letting the stage manager know where you are. This is for emergencies only.

Don't eat too close to the show.

Drink lots of water, clear juices or herbal teas. NEVER SHARE CUPS OR DRINKS!

Avoid milk, soft drinks, coffee and chocolate.

Sleep as much as you can. You will be tired.

On show days/nights you must be ready to go on stage (makeup first, then costume and voice warmed up) 20 minutes before curtain.

During the show please stay in the dressing room area when you are not needed. There is a monitor there for you to watch the show. No one is allowed to hang out in the wings. You could get hurt when there is a scene change.

After use, please return all props immediately to the designated area. Do not touch props unless you are required to use them. Remember that most of them are NOT REPLACEABLE so please treat them with care.

Bring your own box to put your belongings in while you're onstage. Do not wear valuable jewelry to the theatre as you will be required to remove it at your own risk. It's better to leave it at home.

Last but not least. HAVE FUN!
